Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- four years' experience in event management preferred
- knowledge of food, beverage, audiovisual, room setups, and menu planning required
- strong multiple-project management skills
- excellent written and oral communication
- good listening and problem resolution skills
- basic math skills
- flexible schedule to meet business needs
- ability to manage guest and employee concerns with empathy
- proficiency in English language
- physical ability to sit, stand, and move
- knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- familiarity with Marriott systems preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Updates and manages CI/TY with event information and customer communication
- details, organizes, and distributes event orders, resumes, and communications
- communicates with clients to ensure event details are accurate and complete
- listens and extends assistance to resolve problems such as price conflicts and menu descriptions
- attends various meetings including event order and pre-convention meetings
- assists in supervision and training of staff and strategic planning
- organizes files and paperwork for proper communication and historical reference
