Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in event management or related field
- or 2-year accredited degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
- strong communication skills
- problem-solving abilities

- ability to lead meetings and coordinate with multiple departments
- proficiency in managing budgets and forecasts
- ability to handle guest complaints professionally

Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- 2 years experience in event management or related professional area
- or 2-year degree from accredited university in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
- no work experience required for degree holders
Job Duties
- prepares all event documentation and coordinates with sales, property departments and customer
- solves problems and suggests alternatives to previous arrangements
- leads pre-event and post-event meetings for assigned groups
- manages customer budgets to maximize revenue and meet customer needs
- oversees customer experiences from file turnover through post-event phase
- conducts pre- and post-event meetings to review group needs and feedback
- manages group room blocks and meeting space
- adheres to all standards, policies and procedures
- up-sells products and services
- participates in customer site inspections and assists with sales
- acts as liaison between sales and customer throughout the event process
- manages revenue and profitability associated with events
- forecasts group sleeping rooms and event revenue
- reviews billing and payments with clients
- interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
- handles guest problems and complaints
- makes presence known to customer during event process
- follows up with customer post-event
- greets customer during event phase and hands off to event operations team
- strives to improve service performance
- sets positive example for guest relations
- reviews guest satisfaction results with associates
- coordinates and communicates verbally and in writing with customer
