Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years experience in event management or related field
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work full time on-site
  • Proficiency in event coordination and operational standards
  • Availability to attend pre-event meetings and lead event shifts
  • Commitment to customer service excellence
  • Ability to manage administrative and financial tasks
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • Capacity to handle human resource functions including scheduling and performance feedback

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum three years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Proven leadership and team management skills

Job Duties

  • Attend pre-event meetings to understand group needs
  • Establish consistent standards for meeting room and VIP room setups
  • Conduct function room inspections prior to events
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in event areas
  • Act as liaison between Banquets, Event Planning, Event Technology teams and clients
  • Project supply needs for the department
  • Coordinate routine maintenance of meeting facilities
  • Solve problems and suggest alternatives to arrangements
  • Attend and participate in department meetings
  • Lead shifts and actively participate in servicing events
  • Ensure function rooms are set according to event documentation and customer requirements
  • Empower associates to provide excellent customer service
  • Manage activities to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Set positive example for guest relations
  • Strive to improve service performance
  • Maintain presence to support customers
  • Emphasize guest satisfaction in meetings
  • Schedule associates to ensure shift coverage
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with associates
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback
  • Utilize open door policy and review associate satisfaction
  • Observe and provide feedback on service behaviors
  • Communicate performance expectations
  • Apply policies fairly and consistently
  • Complete disciplinary procedures and documentation
