Job Requirements

  • Weekend and holiday availability is required
  • flexibility with work schedule
  • willingness to work over 40 hours a week including nights, weekends and holidays
  • ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently for lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to operate a golf cart
  • must comply with resort policies and safety rules

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a resort or hotel setting is preferred
  • at least 5-7 years of progressive experience in resort, hospitality or a related field
  • ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • strong communication and multitasking skills
  • previous resort experience is preferred
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is preferred
  • knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations

Job Duties

  • Adhere to the company’s service culture - 4 keys to creating guests for life
  • align with Peregrine Hospitality TBO strategy and focus on recruiting and retaining top talent
  • participate in all resort required meetings and trainings
  • meet with guests to understand their function requirements, offer suggestions, and determine all set-up needs, food and beverage requirements and equipment
  • conduct site inspections focusing on key selling points of the resort
  • provide support and guidance to the team
  • interact with outside planners and vendors for event set-up
  • create BEOs highlighting all necessary details of the function
  • work closely with the banquets team to ensure successful event execution
  • upsell additional services provided by the resort
  • respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
  • keep immediate manager informed of all problems or matters requiring attention
  • prepare and submit required reports timely
  • know meeting room set-ups and capabilities
  • know sleeping room configurations and types
  • have comprehensive knowledge of all operational departments within the resort
  • use feedback from meeting planner evaluations to improve service and quality
  • maintain great relationships with existing vendors and select new vendors if required
  • stay on trend with Napa Valley event scene and modern approaches in catering
  • maintain compliance with resort policies, standards, and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • abide by all resort policies and safety rules
  • perform other duties as requested by management
