Job Requirements

  • True desire to satisfy customer needs in fast-paced environment
  • Minimum 3-5 years hotel event planning or comparable experience
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Proficient in various event software
  • Prefer 6 years hotel experience or completed Event Management trainee program

  • Proficiency in general computer knowledge
  • Strong leadership skills supervising Event Planning Manager
  • Ability to multitask and highly organized
  • Proficiency in various event software
  • Prefer 6 years hotel experience or completed Event Management trainee program
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and able to handle fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Oversee the Event Planning Manager
  • Manage short- and long-term planning of Event Sales and Event Planning
  • Develop and recommend budgets, marketing plans and objectives
  • Maintain or exceed budgeted sales and profits in all event areas
  • Develop and implement effective marketing plans for catering revenues
  • Evaluate event business to meet guest expectations
  • Collaborate with Culinary team to create innovative menus
  • Train, supervise and work with event staff
  • Run weekly Resume, Event Order and Group Pick-up meetings
  • Work with Director of Banquets to ensure quality banquet setups
  • Lead event team to build long-term customer relationships
  • Administer all phases of event department including sales, planning, marketing, and servicing
  • Coach and counsel employees on Hyatt service standards
