Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, communication, organizational leadership or related field
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in event planning or similar roles
- Experience managing budgets and vendor relations
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a complex matrix environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proven negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze data and measure program effectiveness
- Working knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in events
- Flexibility and adaptability to change
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, communication, organizational leadership or related field
- Five plus years of relevant work experience in event planning
- Proven leadership skills managing small and large-scale projects
- Strong negotiation and analytical abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience operating in cross-cultural and matrixed environments
- Ability to build consensus across multiple functions without direct authority
- Demonstrated adaptability and proactive problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of convention planning and vendor management preferred
Job Duties
- Manage and support all strategic, operational, and logistical activities for meetings and events
- Liaise with third-party vendors as appropriate
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive meetings and events calendar aligned with business strategies
- Create and manage annual planning budgets for pipeline and in-line products
- Collaborate with affiliate teams to unify meeting and event management approaches domestically and internationally
- Partner with senior management teams to streamline event processes and identify cost-effective marketing solutions
- Utilize tracking tools to measure the effectiveness of event expenditures
- Monitor vendor and compliance adherence related to regulatory guidelines and promotional materials
- Serve as program lead for national and global meeting and event programs
- Collaborate with marketing, financial, procurement, and vendor partners to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Communicate and enforce HCP interaction guidelines and international event standards
- Recommend logistical, technological, and procedural efficiencies for event execution
