Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- two years of relevant hotel event management experience
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends if necessary
- excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- proficiency with event management software and booking systems
- outstanding customer service skills
- strong verbal and written communication
- ability to work collaboratively within a team
- adherence to Hilton’s values and standards
Job Qualifications
- Two years of hotel event management experience
- proficiency in preparing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
- knowledge of rooming list deadlines and commission handling
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively
- sales and upselling experience
- problem-solving and decision-making skills
- leadership and team player attitude
- positive and energetic demeanor
Job Duties
- Organize, plan and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals
- timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person
- create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations
- demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes
- resolve conflicts and negotiate while handling complaints, disputes and grievances
- sell and influence both internal and external clients
- make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating issues to determine the best solutions
- ensure high quality service by assisting others to understand guest needs, providing direction and coaching
- participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary
