Job Requirements
- At least high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years event management experience
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments
- Effective communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer literacy including familiarity with hotel PMS systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Team player mentality
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years of event management experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player
- Comfortable working on groups and events of 100 or more guests
- Knowledge of hotel property management systems such as Delphi.fdc is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience in customer relationship management
- Familiarity with sales and catering processes
- Ability to upsell and maximize revenue opportunities
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
Job Duties
- Organize, plan and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals
- Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person
- Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations
- Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, systems, and processes
- Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts
- Selling and influencing both internal and external clients
- Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution
- Ensure high-quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed
- Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary
- Other duties as necessary based on business needs
