Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
- Minimum four years of relevant event management experience
- Proficiency in event planning software and MS Office
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple events simultaneously
Job Qualifications
- Four years of event experience within a mid- to large-size hotel
- Strong knowledge of hotel event operations
- Exceptional guest service skills
- Proven leadership and communication abilities
- Experience with event documentation and coordination
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high-energy environment
- Creative problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Organize, plan and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals
- Communicate timely to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person
- Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations
- Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes
- Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts
- Sell and influence both internal and external clients
- Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating issues and determining best solutions
- Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed
- Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary
