Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
  • Minimum four years of relevant event management experience
  • Proficiency in event planning software and MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple events simultaneously

Job Qualifications

  • Four years of event experience within a mid- to large-size hotel
  • Strong knowledge of hotel event operations
  • Exceptional guest service skills
  • Proven leadership and communication abilities
  • Experience with event documentation and coordination
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a high-energy environment
  • Creative problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Organize, plan and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals
  • Communicate timely to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person
  • Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts
  • Sell and influence both internal and external clients
  • Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating issues and determining best solutions
  • Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed
  • Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary
