Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum four years of experience in event management at a mid- to large-size hotel
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency with event management software and associated technology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
Job Qualifications
- Four years of event experience within a mid- to large-size hotel
- Strong understanding of hotel event operations
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Experience with event booking and management systems
- Sales and upselling experience
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Job Duties
- Organize, plan and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals
- Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person
- Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations
- Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, booking systems, and processes
- Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts
- Sell and influence both internal and external clients
- Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution
- Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed
- Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary
