Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years hotel event manager experience at a large big box property with relevant size and space like Hilton Anatole
- Experience with Delphi Amadeus Salesforce FDC programs is highly preferred
- Ability to forecast group business and collect deposits and final payments
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of hotel event management experience at a large property
- Proficiency with Delphi, Amadeus, Salesforce, or FDC program highly preferred
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Experience with forecasting group business and managing payments
- Leadership and team development experience
Job Duties
- Execute written sales agreements for large-scale full-service meetings and events with more than 300 cumulative room nights
- Negotiate terms and pricing of vendor and service agreements
- Maintain relationships with customers, their representatives, and hotel departments to ensure event success
- Initiate verbal and written communications outlining event specifics including payment, room block management, and billing
- Partner with operations departments to coordinate event logistics
- Monitor and develop team member performance including supervision, professional development, evaluations, and recognition
- Recruit, interview, and train team members
