Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years hotel event management experience at a large scale property
- Familiarity with Delphi Amadeus and Salesforce systems preferred
- Experience with group forecasting and payment collection
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Leadership skills to manage and develop teams
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- 2 years hotel event manager experience at a large property
- Experience with Delphi Amadeus, Salesforce and FDC programs preferred
- Proven ability to forecast group business and manage deposits and billing
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to lead and develop teams
- Excellent organizational skills
Job Duties
- Execute written sales agreements for large-scale and complex full-service meetings, conventions and events
- Negotiate terms and pricing of vendor partner agreements and service agreements
- Maintain relationships among customers, their representatives and the hotel
- Initiate verbal and written communication outlining event details and specifics
- Partner with operations departments to coordinate event execution
- Monitor and develop team member performance including training and evaluations
- Recruit, interview and train team members
