Job Requirements

  • Two years of hotel event management experience
  • Experience with Delphi, Amadeus, Salesforce, and FDC event software preferred
  • Strong forecasting and billing experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage and lead a team
  • Experience negotiating vendor and partner agreements
  • Flexible and customer-focused mindset

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of hotel event manager experience at a large, big box property
  • Experience with Delphi, Amadeus, Salesforce, and FDC programs highly preferred
  • Experience with forecasting group revenue and managing deposits and final billing
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities

Job Duties

  • Execute written sales agreements for large-scale and complex full-service meetings, conventions and events with more than 300 cumulative room nights
  • Negotiate terms and pricing of vendor partner agreements and service agreements
  • Maintain relationships among customers, their representatives and the hotel to ensure full participation in servicing accounts
  • Initiate verbal and written communication with customers and hotel departments outlining event details including payment, room block management, food and beverage, and billing processes
  • Partner with operations departments
  • Monitor and develop team member performance including supervision, professional development, counseling, evaluations, and recognition
  • Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues, make improvements
  • Recruit, interview and train team members
