Job Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • two years of event management experience in hospitality
  • leadership experience managing small teams
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to handle multiple priorities
  • proficient in event management software preferred
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • problem-solving capabilities
  • commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences

Job Qualifications

  • At least two years of previous event management experience in the hospitality industry
  • experience supervising or managing a team of one to three individuals
  • familiarity with Delphi.FDC is beneficial
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • knowledge of event management systems, products and processes
  • ability to work collaboratively across departments

Job Duties

  • Organize, plan and prioritize duties by developing plans and goals
  • timely communication with internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person
  • create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations
  • demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, systems, and processes
  • resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes and resolving grievances and conflicts
  • make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating issues to determine the best solution
  • ensure high-quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand guest needs, providing direction, guidance, feedback and coaching when needed
  • participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary
  • other duties as necessary based on business needs
  • maintain regular attendance
