Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, meeting or event planning or related field
- Five or more years of event management experience
- Working towards or holding CMP or similar credentials
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency
- Ability to manage high-stress situations
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently
- Willingness to travel
- Fast learner of company offerings
- Must have reliable home office equipment including a computer and cell phone
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, meeting/event planning, or related field
- Five plus years of event management experience with proven success
- CMP or similar professional designation preferred or actively pursuing
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- Intermediate to advanced computing skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations
- Excellent organizational and people skills
- Highly motivated self-starter comfortable with independent work
- Willingness to travel and work within diverse teams
- Ability to quickly learn and deeply understand company products and services
- Reliable home office setup with necessary technology
Job Duties
- Plans and executes events ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards
- Manages events on-site directing all staff and vendors
- Handles post-event invoicing and billing reconciliation providing necessary information to Accounting
- Assists with proposal creation and transportation manifests
- Conducts or participates in site inspections to aid sales and planning
- Maintains ongoing communication with clients, actively listening and identifying up-sell opportunities
- Fosters strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
- Monitors industry trends to enhance client experiences
- Maintains knowledge of company pricing and service offerings
- Engages professionally with prospective clients and decision-makers
- Assists in onboarding and mentoring new team members
- Attends staff meetings, networking functions, and client meetings as required
