Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, facility management or related field
- minimum 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry and/or customer service
- minimum 3 years of event planning, meeting planning, or production experience
- availability to work extended/irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- ability to multi-task effectively
- self-motivated
- willingness to be accessible 24 hours per day in case of emergencies
- physical ability to walk and stand for up to 8-10 hours daily
- strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and event management software
- excellent communication and organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, facility management or related field

- CMP (Certified Meeting Planner) preferred

Job Duties
- Assist with supervision of Event Managers and Event Coordinators
- meet with customers to plan and organize assigned meetings and events
- coordinate activities with various service contractors for assigned meetings and events
- assign events to event management team in absence of Director of Event Management
- provide exceptional customer service and prompt attention to customer needs
- provide timely and accurate information necessary to produce events
- manage multiple events and phases of event production
- act as key contact for customer communication and logistics through event planning and execution
- implement facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- anticipate problems and provide appropriate solutions
- review and approve all event requirements before distribution
- guide customers in contract provisions, policies, and procedures
- inform customers on deadline schedules and event details
- communicate detailed requirements to operational departments
- assist in scheduling operational setups
- monitor and supervise facility setup
- assist in training event services staff
- serve as primary or secondary liaison between customers and facility departments
- monitor in-house events maintaining close contact with customers and staff
- attend various planning, organization, and event meetings
- support the department’s secondary event manager program
- be accessible 24 hours a day for emergencies
- collaborate with PHLCVB, contractors, and internal partners
- manage event-related decisions based on PCC/ASM Global policies
- maintain awareness to prevent accidents on the exhibit floor
- ensure availability of contracted equipment
- serve as manager on duty as required
- work extended/irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- promote and fulfill ASM Global goals and brand promise
- participate in safety programs
- assist with special projects and events
- cover shifts and manage administrative duties related to events
