Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cleaning experience preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work night shifts
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment
- Willingness to attend required trainings
- Ability to work weekends every other week
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful
- Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods, and cleaning chemicals is helpful
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment preferred
- Yearly certifications required if assigned to AORN terminal cleaning of invasive procedure rooms
- Yearly certification required if assigned to pharmacy rooms per 797 standards
Job Duties
- Ensure staff have the equipment and supplies needed for daily assignments
- Respond to service requests promptly
- Assist with training new and existing staff
- Perform minor equipment maintenance
- Cover sick calls as needed
- Assist with quality assurance inspections
- Participate in project work to improve environmental services
