Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to work night shifts
  • ability to work 40 hours per week, including every other weekend
  • ability to follow federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to use basic computer software
  • prior cleaning or custodial experience preferred
  • ability to maintain discretion in sensitive areas

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to use computer
  • prior cleaning experience is helpful
  • knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods, and cleaning chemicals is helpful
  • strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required
  • previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment preferred
  • certification required for AORN terminal cleaning if assigned
  • certification required for pharmacy rooms per 797 standards if assigned

Job Duties

  • ensure facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner
  • ensure staff have the equipment and supplies needed for their assignments
  • respond to service requests
  • assist with training staff
  • perform minor equipment maintenance
  • cover sick calls when necessary
  • participate in quality assurance inspections and project work
