Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work night shifts
- ability to work 40 hours per week, including every other weekend
- ability to follow federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
- strong communication skills
- ability to use basic computer software
- prior cleaning or custodial experience preferred
- ability to maintain discretion in sensitive areas
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to use computer
- prior cleaning experience is helpful
- knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods, and cleaning chemicals is helpful
- strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required
- previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment preferred
- certification required for AORN terminal cleaning if assigned
- certification required for pharmacy rooms per 797 standards if assigned
Job Duties
- ensure facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner
- ensure staff have the equipment and supplies needed for their assignments
- respond to service requests
- assist with training staff
- perform minor equipment maintenance
- cover sick calls when necessary
- participate in quality assurance inspections and project work
