Job Requirements
- High school diploma general equivalency diploma GED and/or GED equivalent programs
- Three years of hospital housekeeping experience
- Good communication skills
- Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician CHEST AHE
- Maintain annual CEUs and renew certification every 4 years

Job Duties
- Cleans patient care rooms outpatient areas and public areas following proper procedures in all areas as assigned to meet HackensackUMC cleaning standards
- Maintains all floors surfaces
- Performs repetitive cleaning operations throughout the work day under specific instructions with little need for individual judgment in working out job problems
- Works with frequent contact with water and cleaning solutions
- Moves furniture as required
- Replaces shower curtains as needed
- Collects soiled linen and disposes of same linen in laundry chute
- Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies
