Job Requirements
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs
- Three years of hospital housekeeping experience
- Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST / AHE)
- Maintain annual CEUs and renew certification every 4 years

- Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST / AHE)
- Maintain annual CEUs and renew certification every 4 years
Job Duties
- Clean patient care rooms, outpatient areas and public areas following proper procedures in all areas as assigned to meet Hackensack Meridian Health cleaning standards
- Maintain all floor surfaces
- Perform repetitive cleaning operations throughout the work day under specific instructions with little need for individual judgment in working out job problems
- Work with frequent contact with water and cleaning solutions
- Move furniture as required
- Replace shower curtains as needed
- Collect soiled linen and dispose of same linen in laundry chute
- Adhere to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies
