Job Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in sales and marketing within the luxury hotel industry, ideally as a director of sales and marketing or regional sales director
- strong leadership and management skills including the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team, set clear goals and provide guidance
- strategic thinking and analytical skills
- market knowledge
- enjoys finding new business and nurturing existing clients’ needs with strong relationship building capabilities
- strong business/financial acumen with the ability to balance financial considerations of the business
- excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to interact effectively with persuasive/influencing skills
- ability to develop long lasting relationships with both clients/guests and the corporate and hotel based teams
- proficient with ms office, excel
- previous experience using a crm is an advantage
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, marketing or a related field
- minimum 10 years of proven sales and marketing experience in luxury hotel industry
- prior experience as a director of sales and marketing or regional sales director preferred
- strong leadership and team management skills
- strategic planning and analytical abilities
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- proven track record of revenue growth and client relationship management
- proficient in ms office and excel
- experience with crm systems beneficial
- ability to travel extensively within the region
Job Duties
- Managing the sales team: lead a team of sales professionals providing guidance, training and motivation to achieve sales targets
- developing and implementing sales strategies: responsible for creating and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share within the region
- building and managing client relationships: responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients through regular client visits, attending industry events and networking to generate new business opportunities
- strengthening the relationship between our corporate office and hotels: promote open communication, foster collaboration and facilitate understanding between both sides to align goals and drive mutual success
- collaborating with peers and key stakeholders: work with Regional Sales Office (RSO) and Dorchester Collection colleagues to promote cross-departmental coordination, facilitate strategic decision making and ensure effective implementation of sales strategies at a global level in line with DC vision and brand goals
- monitoring market trends and competition: stay updated on market trends, customer preferences and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of the competition
- budgeting and forecasting: responsible for developing and managing the sales budget for your region including RSO budgets and unified trip revenue forecasts and expenses
- reporting and analysis: preparation of regular updates and analysis for management highlighting key performance indicators, sales trends and opportunities for improvement
