Job Qualifications

  • 8+ years of work experience with at least 5 years relevant experience

  • track record of strategy formulation and delivery
  • experience in hospitality industry strategy preferred
  • knowledge of group and meetings distribution channels
  • expertise in relationship and account management
  • demonstrated project management and organizational skills
  • ability to work across organizational levels
  • experience with partnership negotiations preferred
  • creative problem-solving ability

Job Duties

  • Owns and executes the distribution strategy for the groups and meetings channel
  • formulates product vision, strategy, and roadmap for direct channel Shop + Book products and Group Housing Solutions
  • manages primary group channel accounts including Groups360 and Cvent with full account management services
  • establishes and enforces global group channel standards and guidelines for third-party participation and compensation
  • leads negotiation preparation process for group intermediary agreements
  • communicates group distribution strategy to senior internal and external stakeholders
  • orchestrates efforts to develop new solutions in the group meetings space
  • serves as subject matter expert on group intermediation dynamics
  • evaluates and defines channel and technology investment opportunities
  • leads project planning and execution related to group distribution strategy initiatives
  • develops goals and plans for self and team
  • prioritizes and allocates resources for project completion
  • provides direction to other teams on projects
  • analyzes information and solves complex problems
  • manages team operations and evaluates processes
  • sets staff goals and conducts performance appraisals
  • manages talent development and performs other reasonable duties as required
