Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university
  • Minimum of 10 years of food industry experience
  • Experience working extensively with distribution networks and trade spending
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence without authority
  • Demonstrated initiative to drive deliverables
  • Ability to travel up to 75% including overnight trips

Job Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience driving results and building relationships
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence without authority
  • Demonstrated initiative in driving deliverables
  • Proven experience building support for initiatives internally and externally
  • Ability to travel up to 75%, including overnight trips

Job Duties

  • Provide input in development and implementation of strategic plans to meet organizational goals
  • Provide long range planning initiatives and implement tactics for national foodservice distributors
  • Create comprehensive customer business plans aligning with strategic growth
  • Communicate customer business plans and strategy to direct and broker sales teams ensuring best execution
  • Conduct complex contract negotiations to achieve company objectives
  • Actively grow the Custom Culinary branded portfolio beyond industry growth rates
  • Analyze and control trade spend to support foodservice growth goals
  • Further penetrate key foodservice distributor customers by broadening product scope and becoming a strategic partner
  • Develop strategic initiatives to maintain competitive advantage
  • Make regular sales calls to corporate office and key field sales divisions
  • Deepen relationships with strategic customers, sales teams, and brokers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, customer service, R&D, culinary, and others
  • Ensure category management with adequate stock and distribution expansion
  • Manage administrative functions including information requests, competitive intelligence, results tracking, deduction management, and sales reports
  • Negotiate contracts, manage trade, create and execute customer business plans
  • Demonstrate excellence in selling skills, presentation skills, strategic management, CRM, and communication skills
