Job Requirements
- Associates degree or equivalent preferred
- six months brokerage experience required
- one year experience with customer contact required
- data entry and keyboard experience required
- working knowledge of MS Office and email applications such as Outlook
- ability to use office equipment including phone, fax, photocopier, printer, and scanner
- excellent communication skills
- organizational and interpersonal skills
- problem solving skills
- ability to handle high volume of work and time sensitive tasks
- ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- ability to use multiple systems and reference material
- interact effectively with customers, carriers, brokers, government agencies, internal staff, and management
- knowledge of customs regulations and harmonized tariff schedules required

Job Duties
- Provide impeccable customer service
- engage with customers regarding commodities requiring specialized processing
- obtain correct classification of goods for customs release
- enter and process import documentation for submission to US Customs and participating Government Agencies
- maintain shipment documentation compliance
- adhere to international importing and exporting regulations
- collaborate with internal staff, customers, and government agencies
- process agency brokerage shipments
- handle remote filings
- perform entry reconciliations and reviews
- follow up and resolve customs matters
- ensure compliance with government and organizational policies
- perform other duties as assigned
- participate in paid training
