Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 24 months experience in brokerage, transportation, or customer service
  • Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and office equipment including phone, fax, copier, printer, scanner
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Capability to solve problems effectively
  • Ability to manage high workload and time-sensitive tasks
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Knowledge of HTS classification and harmonized tariff system
  • Understanding of U.S. Customs regulations and federal requirements relevant to the role

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 24 months of brokerage, transportation, or customer service experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office and office equipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle high volume, time-sensitive work
  • Familiarity with HTS classification and U.S. Customs regulations

Job Duties

  • Provide impeccable customer service
  • Prepare, analyze, and/or submit documentation in compliance with U.S. Customs laws
  • Anticipate, identify, and resolve freight release or movement delays
  • Maintain relationships with brokers and service providers to exceed customer service requirements
  • Resolve banking, letter of credit, and billing issues
  • Advise customers on payment terms and obtain payments on delinquent accounts
  • Coordinate post-entry activities and manage entry verification processes
