Job Requirements
- Minimum six years of experience in cleaning methods, materials, and equipment or other related experience
- Knowledge of cleaning, custodial, trash, and recycling procedures
- Ability to work well with others
- Possess a valid New Jersey driver's license
- Ability to understand and communicate oral and written instructions
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and overtime
- Ability to respond as an essential employee of the state

Job Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of various university facilities including offices, labs, hallways, auditoriums, restrooms, and classrooms
- Assist in unloading and loading shipments and delivering furniture, equipment, and supplies
- Operate NJIT vehicles including trucks, utility vehicles, and street sweepers
- Perform snow shoveling and ice removal on campus grounds
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of trash and recycling areas
- Set up for special events like open houses and graduations
- Report unsafe conditions and adhere to university safety policies
