Job Requirements
- Experience maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in a high-volume kitchen or dining area
- Experience in custodial cleaning and use of equipment such as buffers, floor machines, power washers, and vacuum cleaners
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and sanitation procedures
- Knowledge of healthy and safe work practices and use of personal protective equipment
- Experience following job related directions and sanitation requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic English reading, writing, listening, speaking, and math skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Experience maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in a high-volume kitchen or dining area
- Experience in custodial operations and equipment use such as buffers, floor machines, power washers, and vacuum cleaners
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and sanitation procedures
- Knowledge of healthy and safe work practices, including personal protective equipment and SDS sheets
- Ability to follow directions related to sanitation and job responsibilities
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic English and math skills related to safe and efficient job performance
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, establish priorities, and complete job objectives
Job Duties
- Dispose trash, compost, recyclables, and other garbage from dining service areas
- Clean containers, trash collection areas, and loading dock
- Sweep, mop, buff, wax, and vacuum floors in various operational spaces
- Clean and maintain dining service bathrooms and other assigned areas
- Wash pots, pans, utensils, and steam jacketed kettles and put away clean items
- Operate and maintain dish room and cleaning equipment including dish machine, floor scrubber, buffer, water vacuum, and steam cleaner
- Set up tables and chairs in dining rooms and other facilities
- Restock beverage machines and dispensers
- Establish and maintain positive relations with customers
- Respond to customer needs and report issues to managers
- Complete daily, weekly, and special cleaning projects
- Assist in maintaining supplies and cleaning equipment
- Break down cardboard boxes
