  • Minimum of 3 years in commercial or institutional cooking preferred
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Strong understanding of advanced cooking procedures
  • Ability to follow complex recipes

Job Duties

  • Master culinary techniques: prepare complex dishes, entrees, casseroles, and specialty items using advanced cooking methods
  • Plan & execute production: coordinate meal production schedules to ensure timely and efficient food service
  • Deliver high quality: cook according to detailed recipes, maintaining high standards in taste, presentation, and consistency
  • Maintain safety & sanitation: ensure compliance with food safety standards in all aspects of preparation, storage, and kitchen hygiene
  • Lead by example: demonstrate sound judgment and organization in daily operations and help guide junior kitchen staff
  • Be adaptable: perform other duties as assigned to support overall kitchen and hospital operations
