Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • two years of food service or large quantity cooking experience in healthcare or hotel setting
  • ability to follow HACCP guidelines and food safety standards

  • ability to maintain sanitation and cleanliness
  • capacity to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively

Job Duties

  • Prepares and cooks food products for patients, café, catering functions, and doctor’s lounge
  • maintains high quality, proper temperatures and garnishes all plates
  • coordinates with production and food service coordinators to ensure scheduled meal preparation and delivery
  • assists in ordering and receiving food deliveries as needed
  • transports food carts for meal service
  • follows HACCP guidelines including food storage, thawing, cooking, cooling, reheating, labeling and documentation
  • inspects all food for quality, freshness, and appearance
  • maintains sanitation in work area in compliance with regulatory agencies
  • practices good cost control by minimizing food waste and properly storing supplies
  • recommends new food items from creation to menu addition
  • participates in daily production meetings and contributes to customer service and patient satisfaction efforts
