Job Requirements
- Previous cooking experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work full time schedule including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to follow health and safety regulations
- Capacity to perform physical tasks associated with cooking and kitchen work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to perform essential functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in line cooking or batch cooking preferred
- Ability to follow established recipes and cooking procedures
- Familiarity with HACCP guidelines and food safety regulations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director
- Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment after each use
- Perform scheduled routine cleaning tasks
- Store, label, and date food items according to policy
- Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
- Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations
- Assist Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and complete required documentation
- Assist in cross training of employees
- Perform other duties as assigned
