Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous catering, cooking and lead experience
  • Ability to follow federal, state and local health regulations
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work full time Monday through Friday
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cooking and kitchen maintenance

  • Previous catering experience
  • Previous cooking experience
  • Previous lead experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
  • Ability to oversee and guide food service associates
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills

Job Duties

  • Oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director
  • Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes
  • Operate and clean equipment after each use
  • Perform scheduled routine cleaning
  • Store, label and date food items according to policy
  • Maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products
  • Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
  • Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • Assist Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and complete all required documentation, reports and logs
  • Assist in the cross training of employees
  • Perform other duties as assigned
