Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in cooking, knife skills, and batch cooking preferred
  • Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday with variable hours
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP guidelines
  • Ability to follow company and regulatory standards
  • Effective communication skills
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous knife skills experience
  • Experience in batch cooking
  • Catering experience preferred
  • Ability to follow established recipes and food safety guidelines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to operate and clean kitchen equipment
  • Capability to assist in cross-training employees

Job Duties

  • Oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director
  • Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes
  • Operate and clean equipment after each use and perform scheduled routine cleaning
  • Store, label, and date food items according to policy and maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products
  • Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
  • Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • Assist Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and complete all required documentation, reports, and logs as assigned
