Job Requirements

  • two to three years of prior professional food preparation and line cooking experience preferred
  • ability to work full time, monday through friday
  • reliable transportation to job location
  • ability to follow federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
  • physical ability to perform cooking duties and lift equipment and supplies
  • availability to work varying hours as required
  • high school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

  • two to three years of prior professional food preparation and line cooking experience preferred
  • knowledge of federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
  • ability to prepare food according to established recipes and standards
  • experience operating and cleaning kitchen equipment
  • ability to maintain organized storage of food items
  • strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
  • ability to assist in training and supervising other staff members

Job Duties

  • oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by food service director
  • prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes
  • operate and clean equipment after each use and perform scheduled routine cleaning
  • store, label and date food items according to policy
  • help maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products
  • follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
  • comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • assist food service director in maintaining accurate daily production records and complete all required documentation, reports, and logs as assigned
  • assist in the cross training of employees
  • perform other duties as assigned
