Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- three years of experience as a cook
- ability to work in a stressful environment
- ability to perform physical activities including bending stooping climbing kneeling lifting carrying pushing pulling standing and walking
- understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures
- willingness to adhere to HACCP guidelines
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work with minimal supervision

Job Duties
- assist with the development of menus for patients physicians the cafeteria and catering services
- adhere to all applicable HACCP guidelines regarding the requisition storage handling and preparation of food
- oversee scheduled meal preparation presentation and timely execution to ensure quality safety and service of the planned menu
- follow monitor and insure accountability of standardized recipes in preparation of all food as well as complete required production records
- review menu and special orders to determine types and quantities of food items to be prepared communicate to departmental leadership any shortages or concerns
- assist departmental leadership with staff scheduling problem solving interviewing and evaluations
