Job Requirements

  • Five years of prior line cook experience is required
  • Ability to work full time, Monday through Friday
  • Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards and company policies
  • Capability to perform physical tasks related to cooking and food preparation
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a kitchen environment
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as needed
  • Must comply with federal, state, and local food safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of five years' experience as a line cook
  • Proven knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards including HACCP
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment and follow recipes accurately
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare food service environment
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director
  • Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes
  • Operate and clean equipment after each use
  • Perform scheduled routine cleaning
  • Store, label and date food items according to policy
  • Help maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products
  • Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
  • Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • Assist Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and complete all required documentation, reports, and logs as assigned
  • Assist in the cross training of employees
  • Perform other duties as assigned
