Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
  • Minimum 10 years experience preferably on airport projects
  • Experience with projects more than $50 million in value
  • Proven management experience
  • Knowledge of various project delivery methods
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of industry regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years experience on large-scale airport projects
  • Proven ability to perform in a management capacity
  • Experience with projects exceeding $50 million in value
  • Experience with multiple delivery methods including Design-Bid-Build, Design+CMAR, and Design/Build
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Professional certifications such as AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, or AICP are a plus

Job Duties

  • Supports the project manager’s execution of duties
  • Acts as the primary liaison and airport/owner representative managing the project
  • Responsible for scope development and scope management to meet project goals
  • Develops RFPs and oversees procurement for designers and contractors
  • Provides direction and management to ensure on-schedule completion within or below budget
  • Plans and defines program goals aligned with owner objectives and airport policies
  • Supervises all technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project
  • Collaborates with team members and airport management to develop budgets and schedules
  • Oversees the owner’s staff managing full project delivery and stakeholder interfaces
  • Manages project scope to meet or exceed objectives
  • Identifies and analyzes options to complex design, operational, or constructability issues
  • Conducts field surveys to capture accurate field conditions for strategic decisions
  • Maintains documentation on approved work scope including agreements and drawings
  • Oversees the Design Manager managing design processes and technical issue resolution
  • Oversees the Design Review Team process through all design phases
  • Leads permitting efforts required by design team and contractors
  • Oversees construction process to remove obstacles causing inefficiencies
  • Ensures all work complies with latest plans, specifications, and approved changes
