Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in multi-family or related property management, retail or hospitality experience considered
- Minimum 2 years of people management experience
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and compliance requirements
- Proven track record in financial management including budgeting and rent collection
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to handle crisis management and problem resolution
- Proficient in using property management software and data analysis
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5+ years of multi-family or related property management experience required, equivalent experience in retail and/or hospitality property management
- 2+ years of people management experience
- Experience managing community operations including financial performance, customer service, communications, marketing, negotiation, crisis management, and staffing
- Experience utilizing data and reports to develop solutions to sustain high standards of customer service, optimal revenue generation, and effective expense management
- Proven ability to successfully resolve resident issues
- Experience supporting and developing subordinates with effective feedback and coaching
- Ability to exercise professional judgment with composure
- Experience managing contracts with third-party service providers
Job Duties
- Manage day-to-day operations for the community
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, local regulations, and company policies
- Develop and manage annual budgets
- Monitor rent collections, delinquency, and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Review monthly financial statements and prepare variance reports
- Foster a positive resident experience through proactive communication and service
- Oversee resolution of resident concerns and ensure timely maintenance responses
- Implement community engagement programs to boost retention
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee capital improvement projects
- Supervise the onsite team including leasing and concierge positions
- Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations to ensure team success
