Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in multi-family or related property management, retail or hospitality experience considered
  • Minimum 2 years of people management experience
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and compliance requirements
  • Proven track record in financial management including budgeting and rent collection
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to handle crisis management and problem resolution
  • Proficient in using property management software and data analysis

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of multi-family or related property management experience required, equivalent experience in retail and/or hospitality property management
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Experience managing community operations including financial performance, customer service, communications, marketing, negotiation, crisis management, and staffing
  • Experience utilizing data and reports to develop solutions to sustain high standards of customer service, optimal revenue generation, and effective expense management
  • Proven ability to successfully resolve resident issues
  • Experience supporting and developing subordinates with effective feedback and coaching
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment with composure
  • Experience managing contracts with third-party service providers

Job Duties

  • Manage day-to-day operations for the community
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, local regulations, and company policies
  • Develop and manage annual budgets
  • Monitor rent collections, delinquency, and implement cost-saving initiatives
  • Review monthly financial statements and prepare variance reports
  • Foster a positive resident experience through proactive communication and service
  • Oversee resolution of resident concerns and ensure timely maintenance responses
  • Implement community engagement programs to boost retention
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee capital improvement projects
  • Supervise the onsite team including leasing and concierge positions
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations to ensure team success
