Job Duties

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to lead the development of comprehensive client interaction strategies
  • Recommend opportunities to drive improvements and implement best practices in the client experience at events, tradeshows, conferences, and various other client events
  • Review and utilize client feedback and company benchmarking to ensure Burns & McDonnell has best in class client experience with resources available
  • Review and evaluate data captured in CRM to measure success
  • Manage all aspects of Burns & McDonnell's corporate sporting and event ticketing program to include, but not limited to: contract negotiation, partner relationship, suite/seat selection, reservations and fulfillment
  • Establish and maintain relationships with sporting suites and event venues to provide best-in-class client experience
  • Engage in speak management activities and tracking, including, instructions for presentation submissions, template support, and additional audio-visual equipment
  • Lead the negotiation of vendor contracts and submit for legal and insurance reviews (hotel, transportation, swag orders, equipment rental, etc.)
  • Lead the development of social media strategy, marketing materials, and communication to support various events
  • Serve as main point of contact for all vendor management to ensure timely deliverables, critical communication, and post-event follow-up
  • Identify and manage all necessary vendors, staff, and support needed to event management
  • Attend events and provide on-site direction, execution of logistics and problem resolution
  • Work in conjunction with creative team on development of event related materials including invitations, signage, decor, branded event merchandise and other related collateral
  • Elicit event feedback and identify opportunities for process improvements, provide analysis, propose change strategies, and communicate proposed strategies
  • Maintain industry knowledge by attending education workshops (negotiation and event management)
  • reviewing related publications and establishing networks
  • Communicate professionally with executives and team members
  • Propose and present new event ideas
  • Track event budgets, expenses, invoices and payments to ensure accurate spending
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff
  • Responsible for QA/QC process adherence
  • Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
