Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of relevant food service or culinary experience
- Food Protection Manager Certification from an ANAB-CFP accredited program within 90 days
- Ability to prepare meals according to nutritional and quality standards
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance
- Ability to supervise and lead kitchen staff effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents and team members
- Willingness to work day/evening shifts including weekends and holidays
- Commitment to quality and customer service in meal preparation and presentation
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of food service or culinary experience
- Food Protection Manager Certification issued by an ANAB-CFP accredited food sanitation program within 90 days of hire
- Associate of Arts in Food Service or vocational/technical training preferred
- Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) issued by the State of MN preferred for positions within Minnesota
Job Duties
- Support key culinary operations by assisting with health inspections, menu planning, and creation of daily prep task sheets
- Prepare and cook food items to specified temperatures following standardized recipes
- Weigh and measure ingredients accurately per standardized recipes
- Assemble meals and bakery items within designated time frames
- Assist and coordinate special events with the Culinary Director
- Prepare texturized diets following International Dysphagia Diet Standardization (IDDSI) standards
- Supervise kitchen staff and manage daily kitchen operations in the absence of the Culinary Director
- Communicate resident and guest feedback on meal and service quality
- Handle kitchen scheduling, staff evaluations, and order verification
