Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of relevant food service or culinary experience
  • Food Protection Manager Certification from an ANAB-CFP accredited program within 90 days
  • Ability to prepare meals according to nutritional and quality standards
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance
  • Ability to supervise and lead kitchen staff effectively
  • Strong communication skills to interact with residents and team members
  • Willingness to work day/evening shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Commitment to quality and customer service in meal preparation and presentation

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of food service or culinary experience
  • Food Protection Manager Certification issued by an ANAB-CFP accredited food sanitation program within 90 days of hire
  • Associate of Arts in Food Service or vocational/technical training preferred
  • Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) issued by the State of MN preferred for positions within Minnesota

Job Duties

  • Support key culinary operations by assisting with health inspections, menu planning, and creation of daily prep task sheets
  • Prepare and cook food items to specified temperatures following standardized recipes
  • Weigh and measure ingredients accurately per standardized recipes
  • Assemble meals and bakery items within designated time frames
  • Assist and coordinate special events with the Culinary Director
  • Prepare texturized diets following International Dysphagia Diet Standardization (IDDSI) standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff and manage daily kitchen operations in the absence of the Culinary Director
  • Communicate resident and guest feedback on meal and service quality
  • Handle kitchen scheduling, staff evaluations, and order verification
