Job Requirements

  • Must obtain Approved Food Sanitation Safety Course and Certification within first 90 days
  • 1-3 years of related culinary or food service experience
  • basic math skills
  • proficiency with Microsoft applications
  • strong problem-solving skills
  • effective time management skills
  • good written and oral communication skills
  • must be 18 years or older

Job Qualifications

  • Approved Food Sanitation Safety Course and Certification obtained within first 90 days
  • 1-3 years of related experience such as scratch cooking, high volume culinary, chef or assistant chef roles
  • basic math skills and comfortable using Microsoft applications
  • strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • good written and oral communication skills
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • food service vocational or technical education or training preferred
  • training, supervisory, and leadership work experience or education preferred
  • ability to work effectively in a supervisory role or comfortable working in a supervisory capacity

Job Duties

  • Preparation of meals by following standardized recipes
  • handle and prepare food in a safe manner following policies and infection control and safety standards
  • ensure timely production and meal service is provided to residents
  • set up line service
  • clean and sanitize equipment and work area after each use
  • assist with special events
  • conduct customer service rounding to gain feedback from residents on meals and service provided
  • supervise kitchen staff including training, coaching, accountability for staff and their work performance, assist with performance evaluations and scheduling of staff
