Job Requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- one year of related work experience
- strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- obtain certification in Basic First Aid and CPR within six months of employment
- obtain King County Public Health Food Handler’s Permit within one month of employment

- ability to obtain certification in Basic First Aid and CPR within six months of employment
- ability to obtain King County Public Health Food Handler’s Permit within one month of employment
- experience working with or supporting senior citizen programs preferred
- experience in customer service clerical or administrative support roles preferred
- experience with recreation or registration software such as ActiveNet/ACTIVE preferred
- experience working in a senior center or community center environment preferred
- experience coordinating volunteers or assisting with community-based programs preferred
- ability to operate a 15-passenger van preferred
Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service to Senior Center participants and the public including program registration using the ACTIVE system
- perform receptionist duties such as answering multi-line phones greeting visitors and responding to questions about programs services and policies
- assist Senior Center staff volunteers and instructors with scheduling planning and supporting activities such as excursions events speakers and day tours
- perform clerical and administrative tasks including maintaining records processing payments and supporting daily operations
- effectively engage and communicate with adults aged 50+ to ensure a welcoming and supportive environment
- support a variety of programs and special events that take place throughout the year
- manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
