Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related industry preferred
- Proven track record in catering and banquet sales required
- Ability to work varying schedules including holidays and weekends
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to following safety and sustainability standards
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related industry preferred
- Proven track record in catering and banquet sales
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Skilled in customer relationship management
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in hospitality beneficial
- Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance standards
Job Duties
- Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates ensuring they perform according to brand and hotel standards
- Oversee all catering sales targeting new and existing corporate and social markets
- Solicit new business through prospecting calls and client visits
- Maximize revenue by selling all hotel facets to previous, current and potential clients
- Handle account details ensuring solicitation and closing are complete and documented
- Service accounts including banquet event orders and group resumes when necessary
- Prepare information for, meet with and entertain clients to obtain business
- Provide exceptional service and acquire high-quality catered products
- Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with staff
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to EarthView program
- Practice safe work habits and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
- Perform other duties as requested by management
