Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in catering, food production, or food service management or a related field

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and manage catering services for a variety of events including conferences, receptions, academic functions, and student activities
  • Collaborate with culinary leadership to design diverse, innovative menus that accommodate client preferences, dietary needs, and special requests
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships with university departments, faculty, staff, and external partners to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
  • Oversee all catering bookings, schedules, and timelines, ensuring seamless delivery of services in alignment with event specifications
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and manage catering staff to ensure professional, efficient service and foster a positive, collaborative work environment
  • Monitor budgets, control costs, and implement strategies to drive profitability while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Ensure excellence in food quality, presentation, and customer service, maintaining compliance with all health, safety, and university guidelines
  • Oversee logistical planning including transportation, supply ordering, and coordination of rental equipment and setup
  • Analyze client feedback and operational performance to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices for service enhancement
