Job Requirements

  • Previous barista experience is required
  • Experience with high-end, specialty coffee environments preferred
  • Ability to operate manual espresso machines such as La Marzocco, Slayer, Victoria Arduino
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday
  • Willingness to abide by food safety and company policies
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions satisfactorily

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a high-end, specialty coffee environment
  • Expert proficiency with manual espresso machines and precision grinders
  • Ability to provide a sophisticated, white-glove hospitality experience
  • Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and drink preparation
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to develop and drive creative beverage programs

Job Duties

  • Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
  • Enters orders accurately into POS device
  • accepts cash and charge payments
  • Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • follows HACCP standards
  • Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
  • Greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
  • Serves customers quickly and efficiently, and prevents delays in serving lines
  • Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
