Job Requirements
- Previous barista experience is required
- Experience with high-end, specialty coffee environments preferred
- Ability to operate manual espresso machines such as La Marzocco, Slayer, Victoria Arduino
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday
- Willingness to abide by food safety and company policies
- Must be able to perform essential job functions satisfactorily
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a high-end, specialty coffee environment
- Expert proficiency with manual espresso machines and precision grinders
- Ability to provide a sophisticated, white-glove hospitality experience
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and drink preparation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to develop and drive creative beverage programs
Job Duties
- Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
- Enters orders accurately into POS device
- accepts cash and charge payments
- Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- follows HACCP standards
- Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- Greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
- Relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
- Serves customers quickly and efficiently, and prevents delays in serving lines
- Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to customers
