- previous barista or customer service experience preferred
- good communication skills
- ability to operate register and technology
- reliable and punctual attendance
- able to stand for extended periods

- ability to handle customer interactions and resolve conflicts

Job Duties
- Master key barista behaviors and skills
- welcome and assist customers
- create a hospitable and community-focused environment
- mentor and support new baristas
- operate registers, tablets, and other technology
- maintain merchandise and cafe cleanliness
- manage bake case and bakery offerings
- process food and beverage orders efficiently
- receive and unpack deliveries following FIFO
- suggest food and beverage pairings
- prepare drinks and food following recipes
- perform daily and weekly cleaning tasks
- support bookfloor team when needed
- apply loss prevention procedures and de-escalation techniques
- stand for prolonged periods and perform physical tasks
- work flexibly including weekends and holidays
- develop and share cafe knowledge and skills
- present products attractively
- educate baristas on beverage preparation
- communicate company sales initiatives
- recommend food and beverage customizations
- maintain backstock and support ordering
- uphold safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- comply with company policies and procedures
