Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- 2 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Ability to supervise and manage employees
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Capability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 2 years experience
- Demonstrated leadership and supervision skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to develop and manage menus
- Experience managing food cost and portion control
- Proven track record in delivering exceptional guest service
Job Duties
- Supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation for property banquets and events
- Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others
- Advocates sound financial and business decision making
- Leads shifts while personally preparing food items and executing requests based on required specifications
- Coordinates banquet production and plating with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and Banquet Maitre'd
- Maintains food preparation handling and correct storage standards
- Ensures compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards, and procedures
