Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Four years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- OR two-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- Two years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Ability to supervise and coordinate culinary staff
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to manage banquet food preparation and menu planning
- Experience with budgeting and operational management
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications

- Proven leadership and supervisory skills in food preparation settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to develop menus and manage food production
- Experience managing budgets and operational goals
- Capability to coach and mentor staff members
- Familiarity with banquet and catering event management
Job Duties
- Supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation for banquets and events
- Leads and manages employees while handling day-to-day operations
- Encourages and builds mutual trust and cooperation among team members
- Prepares and executes food items according to specifications during shifts
- Plans and manages food quantities and plating requirements for banquet functions
- Ensures compliance with sanitation, food handling, and safety standards
- Develops banquet and specialty menus and assists in food purchasing
- Provides excellent customer service and ensures guest satisfaction
- Participates in training, coaching, and mentoring culinary staff
- Attends banquet event meetings and coordinates culinary requirements
- Manages budget goals, controls portions and waste, and supports financial objectives
- Assists in interviewing, hiring, and disciplinary processes for staff
