Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • minimum 9 years of industry experience in aircraft systems engineering
  • management or leadership experience
  • strong technical expertise in aircraft systems
  • ability to work with regulatory agencies
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • authorized to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • minimum 9 years in aircraft systems engineering with workforce management experience
  • strong technical knowledge of aircraft systems and components design
  • ability to interface with manufacturers and regulatory agencies
  • demonstrated ability to deliver results in an airline environment
  • proven experience building and managing effective technical teams

Job Duties

  • Prioritize systems engineering actions for Aircraft Systems Engineers
  • guide and mentor Aircraft Systems Engineers providing technical support for 747/767/737/777 fleets
  • manage Liaison Engineering Support Team to supplement 24/7 AOG technical support
  • provide budgetary data on projects
  • manage Heavy Maintenance and Conversion MROs repair documentation
  • issue instructions and documents to support operations and aircraft return to service
  • participate in Project Systems Team
  • ensure FAR/AD/NPRM compliance for fleets
  • manage review and response of Fleet team Idea Exchange
  • participate in working groups
  • develop and obtain approved and acceptable data for repairs and modifications
  • update technical source documents
  • support integration of new and operated aircraft
  • liaise with manufacturers, MROs, regulatory personnel, and outside agencies
  • evaluate federal regulations and service notifications
  • develop product improvement modifications
  • establish component repair specifications
  • perform analysis of fleet technical issues
  • submit recommendations for safety, reliability, and cost control improvements
  • develop and refine standard analysis methods
  • stay current with industry best practices
  • increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • reduce maintenance costs
  • achieve on-time performance goals
  • increase component Time Since Installed (TSI)
  • organize and provide systems engineering documentation for modifications and repairs
  • support multiple internal departments
  • review and initiate maintenance program changes
  • report on project status
  • perform other duties as assigned
