Job Requirements
- ability to read, write, add, subtract and follow oral and/or written instructions
- six months of related experience
- valid Texas Class C driver’s license
- pass criminal background check
- obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances where required
- ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- physical ability to lift moderately heavy items up to 40 pounds
- stand or walk for extended periods
- willingness to undergo drug testing
- comply with City of Houston driving policies
Job Qualifications

- six months of related experience in custodial or janitorial services
- possession of a valid Texas Class C driver’s license
- ability to work flexible schedules including shift rotations, weekends, and holidays
- effective communication skills
- ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools safely
- commitment to safety and compliance with regulations
Job Duties
- perform commercial janitorial services by cleaning and maintaining multi-unit and single restrooms
- remove trash and maintain cleanliness of all public areas
- clean hard surface floors by scrubbing, polishing, stripping and sealing
- vacuum and shampoo carpeted areas
- carry out high dusting and emergency biohazard cleaning services
- operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and polishers
- monitor inventory control of cleaning supplies
- perform basic maintenance and repairs to cleaning equipment and facilities
- move furniture and unload supplies
- operate vehicles to and from work locations as needed
- respond promptly to guest and customer concerns with a friendly demeanor
