Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old
- Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Have 1-2 years of cashier or related retail experience
- Demonstrate positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate front end equipment including registers and scanners
- Availability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs for extended periods
- Skilled in cash handling and accurate mathematical calculations
- Strong communication skills and teamwork capability
Job Qualifications
- Be 18 years of age

- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or sales environment
- 1-2 years of cashier experience preferred
- Positive attitude and ability to interact positively with customers
- Ability to operate front end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners
- Dependable and reliable with ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- Ability to lift/carry products weighing up to 30 lbs and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs of force
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers
- Proficient in cash handling and mathematical skills
Job Duties
- Oversee self-checkout units, ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service
- Assist customers as they scan, weigh, bag and pay for their own items, ensuring a smooth and seamless process
- Serve multiple customers at once and anticipate issues before they occur
- Answer questions and assist with issues that arise such as large items, scanning/weighing issues, and payment problems
- Monitor scanning activity to ensure scanning accuracy
- Invite Sprouts customers to use self-checkout lanes, especially if lines are forming in other lanes
- Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items, promotions and events
- provide direction to product locations throughout the store
- Ensure that self-checkout areas are always maintained in a clean and orderly condition
- Thank customers as they leave the self-checkout area
